Why do some guys go bald early?

Despite popular belief, hair loss doesn’t really equate to any certain age. Hair loss is a common problem that many men and women suffer through. It can be caused by a number of factors like: Genetic predisposition, medical condition, lack of proper nutrition and other environmental and mental health factors such as air pollution and stress. However, DHT is considered to be the main culprit when it comes to hair loss in men, as it is responsible for the onset of male pattern baldness, which causes thinning of hair and gradual hair fall.

Some of the major causes of hair loss are:

    • Family history/ Genetic predisposition: Men are much more likely to lose their hair due to DHT(Dihydrotestosterone). DHT leads to gradual thinning of hair follicles, which leads to hair fall. This process of thinning of hair and eventual hair fall is called male pattern baldness.
    • Diseases or Infections: Auto-immune diseases like Alopecia areata can result in unpredictable patchy hair loss. Infections like ringworm or syphilis can also lead to hair loss.
    • Infectious disease: Fungal infections like psoriasis may lead to hair loss.
    • Poor Diet: Diet plays in almost every bodily function. Consuming unhealthy meals instead of nutritious/balanced meals will lead to skin problems, hair loss, obesity etc.
    • Restrictive hairstyles: Your hairstyle may also dictate over hair well being. Overly restrictive hairstyles like a tight pony or dreadlocks will lead to hair loss.
    • Mental well being: Mentally dealing with the onset of hair loss is a stressful situation. Excessive stress or depression are a cause of health risk for the body and the mind. Stress alone can lead to hair loss, loss of muscle mass and increase in the risk of cardiovascular disease.
    • Medication or supplement: Bodybuilding drugs or certain supplements can also lead to hair loss. One such supplement is creatine, which leads to accelerate the conversion of testosterone to DHT.

How do you deal with hair loss or baldness?

People are almost spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing a treatment to remedy their hair loss, as new and advanced techniques are being developed at a rapid pace, and new hair treatment clinics are popping up in every major city.

However, lack of regulations is one of the main factors that has started to influence the final result that one may expect from his/her treatment for hair loss. Lack of regulations has also made it incredibly easy to start a clinic for hair restoration, without the need for due experience or expertise.

Hence, it is advised that before taking any drastic steps for hair growth, one should keep in mind the possible blow-backs they might be subjected to, in case the operation doesn’t go as planned. Whilst choosing a clinic, or a doctor one should thoroughly consider the clinic’s areas of expertise and the overall experience the doctor has.

    Some popular baldness treatments include:

    Medication

Conventional medications like Minoxidil or finasteride are amongst the most popular means of treating hair loss. The two are also the only FDA (Food and Drug Administration of USA) approved drugs for hair loss. Minoxidil works by either accelerating the blood flow of an area and finasteride subdues the effects of DHT.

    Hair transplant

Hair transplant has become one of the most common treatments that people choose to get their hair back. The process of hair transplant involves grafting hair follicles from one area of the head, usually the back of the head, to others the balding areas of the head.

    Hair wigs/ Hair patch

Wigs have been a popular hair loss solution for quite some time now. Wigs are available in all shapes and sizes, and you can even have some made according to your own head. Wigs are made from either natural hair or synthetic fibers. Hair patching another form of non-surgical hair replacement, and is a permanent form of hair wig. It does require monthly maintenance, but rather than just sitting on your head, these patches of hairs are glued on top, which provides a secure fit.

    Laser therapy

FDA has also approved low-level laser devices as a means of treating genetically induced hair loss.

Is it possible to regrow hair on the bald spot?

Naturally dealing with hair loss is possible, but only to a certain extent. If your hair loss has gotten to the point where you can feel smooth scalp skin, then, unfortunately, there is no other option but to opt for drastic measures. To get to the bottom of your suspicion about your hair loss, it’s suggested that you go to a hair expert and get a proper diagnosis. Hair loss can be caused by a lot of things, and medical analysis is the only way you can truly know about what is causing you to lose hair. Losing around 100 strands of hair is absolutely normal, and more often than not, people get anxious without a probable cause.

Hair regrowth is not a daunting task it used to be in yesteryears. With specialized treatments and equipment so you can curb your hair loss in a lot of ways. Treatments like hair transplant and non-surgical treatments like a hair patch and other refined cosmetic procedures will help people to get their hair back and have the look that they want.

Is accepting your baldness the only option left for you?

When it comes to losing your hair, you can either settle for the bald look, or you can do something about it. The way a person looks is their call, and it is not something that they have to convince other people about. People should be able to wear whatever hairstyles they want to, and at Advanced Hair Studio, we believe that hair loss should not be a determining factor when it comes to how a person looks.

Gone are the days when being bald was the only path down the road of hair loss. Nowadays, people can get their hair (or get rid of them) as per their own convenience. Modern medical advancements and state-of-the-art infrastructure can provide treatment and care for anyone suffering from hair loss. So accepting baldness is not the only option. It shouldn’t be.

I am honestly thankful to Advanced Hair Studios. I suffer from a hair-pulling disorder. There is this constant urge to pull off your hair follicles. It is painless when you pull but extremely painful when you see a missing patch on your scalp. But, I feel blessed with AHS hair fall treatment. I can see baby hair growing. It’s been two weeks. All I can see is low hair fall.

I have done my hair transplant surgery in AHS Delhi Branch on 2019 by travelling to Delhi from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The front and the back portion of my head were bald and through the hair transplant surgery, they have managed to cover the front portion of my head and the former appearance of my face returned back. The way they collected hairs from the donor portion did not affect my donor area at all. I am quite happy with my result. I have been consulting with them for a second seating so that they can cover the back portion of my head as well so that the hair density on top will increase and the bald portion of my head will reduce to a minimum level.
