Allowing your hair to air-dry is always the healthiest option as they are in its most vulnerable state when wet. Advanced Hair Studio has doctors and hair experts who have years of experience and they suggest that the best thing for your hair’s health is actually letting it air-dry before blow-drying. It is important to keep in mind a few tips during drying your hair so that drying doesn’t become one of your hair fall reasons.

Let’s take a look at 5 important tips to keep your hair safe while drying:

1. Do not keep your hair wrapped in a towel for too long

Women tend to leave their hair in the towel for like 30 minutes after getting out of the shower. This practice can damage the strands to the point where the hair breaks off. If you want to get rid of excess water, only spend about 10 minutes with your head wrapped up in a towel, post-shampoo.

2. Start drying from the temples, crown & hairline

Many people make the mistake of starting their blow dry from the back of the hair. But hair experts suggest that it’s better to start at the temples, crown, and hairline then move backward to the nape. In this way, you can handle the most visible parts first.

If you usually start in the back, by the time you get to the top and hairline, your hair has dried making it harder to get smooth.

3. Use a wide-toothed comb or microfiber brush.

Although you should not comb your hair while it's damp, in case you have to comb, then switch to a wide-toothed comb to separate the hair and allow air-flow. There are also some brushes that have microfiber material in them to soak up even more water as you brush.

4. Moisturize your hair before drying them out

Use a conditioner designed for damaged or dry hair after every shampoo. Hair Experts at Advanced Hair Studio suggests also using regular at-home treatments like deep conditioners. Moisturizing your hair before drying them out will prevent hair fall.

5. How to dry out your curly waves

If you have curly or wavy hair and want to improve your natural texture, add the product when it’s very drenched, press out the excess water with your hands, and wrap it up gently in a microfiber towel. You can start blow-drying, once your curls stop dripping.

You can add in a little styling cream or gel once your hair is completely dry. You can add in a little bit of hair oil if you tend to get frizzy hair. Take a small amount of the product into your palm, and use your fingers to comb it through your hair.

I am honestly thankful to Advanced Hair Studios. I suffer from a hair-pulling disorder. There is this constant urge to pull off your hair follicles. It is painless when you pull but extremely painful when you see a missing patch on your scalp. But, I feel blessed with AHS hair fall treatment. I can see baby hair growing. It’s been two weeks. All I can see is low hair fall.

I have done my hair transplant surgery in AHS Delhi Branch on 2019 by travelling to Delhi from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The front and the back portion of my head were bald and through the hair transplant surgery, they have managed to cover the front portion of my head and the former appearance of my face returned back. The way they collected hairs from the donor portion did not affect my donor area at all. I am quite happy with my result. I have been consulting with them for a second seating so that they can cover the back portion of my head as well so that the hair density on top will increase and the bald portion of my head will reduce to a minimum level.
